报告题目:Silicon based photonic integrated circuit and its applications in optical

                    communication network

内容简介:To meet the rapidly growing demands of bit rate and transmission capacity of communication network, optical communication network is well developed nowadays by taking advantage of its high speed, large capacity, low loss characteristics. On the other hand, silicon photonic is commonly regarded as a promising solution for next generation optical network because of low cost, high refractive index contrastand compatibility with matured CMOS technologies. This report proposed various kinds of silicon based devices and circuits, including mode manipulating devices, ring modulator and polarization controller. Schematics of those devices are presented, while functionalities are verified experimentally. Moreover, their applications in optical communication network are further studied.

报告人简介:叶梦渊,特任副教授。目前主要研究方向:硅基光子学、微纳光子集成、光通信等。第一作者或通信作者在 IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, Optics Letters, Optics Express 等国际重要学术期刊和会议上发表论文15篇。曾参与国家973子课题,加拿大Natrral Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)项目、华为横向合作项目等。2019年入选中国地质大学(武汉)地大学者-青年优秀人才计划。
