报告题目:Possibility of Skilled Motion by Robot

内容简介:It is possible to operate the remote robot from the hand-side by the real haptics.   The human operator is able to have the same sensation as the direct contact at the remote-side. This helps us to operate the robot precisely in the dangerous situation from the safe area. In fact our expectation has not been such a case. A question how the robot can accomplish the task like human without any human helps arises. The robot should be autonomous and is expected to act like a skilled labor. The lecture will help understanding the current status and the process necessary for realizing autonomous robot by AI technology.

报告人简介: Prof. Kouhei Ohnishi received PhD degree from the University of Tokyo in 2008. Since then, he has been with Keio University and is a Project Professor at the Haptics Research Center. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE and was a President of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society in 2008-2009 and a President of IEE Japan in 2015-2016.  He received many awards including IEEE Dr.-Ing Eugine Mittlemann Achievement Award (2004), Fukuzawa Award (2012), Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon from His Majesty the Emperor (2016), Fujihara Award (2019), and Horose Award (2023). His main research interest lies in the field of power electronics, motion control, robotics, and haptics.
