报告题目:How to write a scientific paper
内容简介:Writing a scientific paper goes far beyond just reporting the findings of a research work. This presentation will analyze the key issues to be carefully considered throughout the whole process, many of which have to be addressed well before the writing itself. Although the presentation will focus on journal articles, most of the discussion applies to scientific writing in general.
Whatever the motivation of authors is, they want their work not only to be published, but noticed. This requires, of course and in first place, to have developed a good research work, but also to have good reasoning and writing skills. The choice of the right audience is a key factor for the success of a paper. It will also have a significant influence on how the message of the paper must be conveyed. The presentation will also address ethical questions, which are currently a major concern.
